The Best Bar for Happy Hour
Le Avalanche is known for its excellent selection of drinks of happy hour specials. Located in the very centre of Chatel, it is easily accessible from the surrounding area or off the Super Chatel cable car. British run, there is often live music, DJs and late opening hours, so your quiet night may end up rather animated. It is not all bars and pubs in Chatel. Throughout the winter season, large scale events are organised in the village and surrounding area. During the Christmas / New Year holiday period, the season launch event takes place, which includes fireworks, live music and cultural animations. During January and February, there is the large cooking festival “Neiges Etoilees”, rugby tournaments, skiing competitions and the “Chatel Classical” Jazz music festival. During the month of March, the French Ski Championships often takes place in Portes du Soleil. If large events are not for you and you can’t wait to get back on the slopes, you're in luck!
